2025.8. 우리나라 정보통신의 개발을 위해 다양한 연구를 하는 기관. 통신규격인 4G를 넘어 5G, 지금은 6G 통신규약을 개발해 놓았으며 국제 규격으로 인증까지 받았다고 함. 6G는 아무리 원거리라 해도 지연시간이 0.006초 이내라고 하니, 아무리 먼 곳이라 해도 실시간 쌍방향 초고속 대용량 데이터의 송수신을 바탕으로 한 통신이 가능한 기술이라 하니 놀랍지 않을수가 없음. 그 외에도 의약분야, 안전분야 등등 다양한 분야에 대한 정보통신의 기술을 개발하는 곳이라 이런 기관들의 기술 개발을 통한 국가의 경쟁력 향상에 이바지되었으면 좋겠음.

My recent visit to ETRI in Daejeon was nothing short of extraordinary. This cutting-edge research institute, generously supported by the Korean government, is at the forefront of technological innovation. Walking through the halls of ETRI, I was amazed by the caliber of research being conducted in areas such as AI, Big Data, Robotics, IoT, and Analytics. It was inspiring to witness firsthand how these brilliant researchers are shaping the future of technology and driving innovation forward.

One particular highlight of our visit was experiencing the self-drive mini van prototype, which left us all utterly mind-blown. The level of sophistication and precision exhibited by this technology was truly impressive, offering a glimpse into the future of transportation and mobility.

ETRI's dedication to pushing the boundaries of what's possible is evident in every project and invention showcased during our visit. It's clear that this institute is not only defining the future of technology but also paving the way for a smarter, more connected world.
