韓国33観音聖地のひとつ。金泉駅から、バスで約３０分で到着。バスは、11,11-0,111,111-0の４路線 が直指寺行きになっていました。直指寺からの帰りのバスの時刻表を見つけることが出来ませんでしたが、駅から来るバスが、１時間に４本程度有ったので、帰りも同じ頻度で、バスが走っていると思います。直指寺のバス停から、食堂街・直指文化公園の中を通り抜けるとチケット売場と山門が有りました。直指寺のバス停から境内まで、３０分弱歩いたと思います。

I had no expectations coming into my temple stay at Jikjisa, but I was completely blown away. The temple itself is breathtaking, surrounded by serene nature that makes the whole experience even more special. The people were so kind and welcoming, the teachings were deeply moving, and the food—pure vegetarian—was some of the most delicious and nourishing I’ve ever had.

I’m so grateful I had the chance to experience this. A special thank you to all the staff and to Hun for your warmth and guidance throughout my stay.

My advice to anyone considering a temple stay here: come with an open heart, an open mind, and no expectations. You will leave with so much more than you imagined. The temple grounds are beautiful, and the sleeping quarters are clean, safe, and comfortable. It truly is a traditional cultural experience in every sense, from the food to the way of living.

I leave feeling inspired and plan to carry the teachings and learnings with me moving forward. I hope to return one day and see you all again.

역사와 기품이 느껴지는 절입니다. 임진왜란 당시 스님이었던 'Samyeong Daesa'가 의병을 일으켜 왜군과 싸웠는데 그분이 계셨던 절입니다. 무술을 하는 스님이라니 대단합니다.

😌 It's a beautiful temple that you can visit freely. This temple is very famous in Korea. It's an old temple. People from far away come to visit this temple during their vacation. There are so many things here that you can't finish seeing them in a day.

නිදහසේ බලන්න පුළුවන් ලස්සන පන්සලක්. මේ පන්සල කොරියාවේ හරිම ප්‍රසිද්ධයි. ඒක පරණ පන්සලක්. නිවාඩු කාලෙට දුර බැහැර ඉඳන් මිනිස්සු මේ පන්සල බලන්න එනවා. මෙතන කොච්චර දේවල් තියෙනවද කිව්වොත් දවසකින් දැකලා ඉවර කරන්න බෑ.

고찰의 분위기를 느낄 수 있는 조용한 절이다.경내에 있는 세 개의 삼층석탑은 문경에서 2 개, 구미에서 1 개를 옮겨온 것이며 보물로 지정되어 있다. 대웅전, 사천왕상과 천왕문은 보물, 대웅전의 삼존불 후불탱화는 국보로 지정 예고되어 있다.

Did an overnight temple stay back in July. Very informative and educational with a chance to visit morning / evening chanting, lectures with a monk, and veg meals in the cafe. It was more structured than some of the other ones I’ve done.
